bkwon is my first initial and last name. My first name is Ba. I like the internet and I do web site stuff for fun. I don't really design anything for the web, not even the theme for this site. But, I'm reasonably good at reusing stuff created by others, such as code snippets and templates from open source contributors. At least for my own use anyway. Anything that I create for the internet is already available, or could be yours for the asking; free, of course! I already have a demanding job that I enjoy very much!

I was born in Malaysia, went to school there and in London, UK, but Canada has been home for more than 30 years. So, you may say I went around the globe. I was an accountant for many years until I discovered that my real interest is Information Technology. After the career change, I've never looked back; though in my current consulting job (clean cut, no long hair) I still put on my accountant's hat every now and then. Check out my employer. I'm brainwashed!

My interests are simple. I love baseball (I'm a Blue Jays fan) and, dare I admit it, I'm a Trekker. Yes, I've even been to Vulcan! So, where is Vulcan? My music interest varies from easy listening to rock. You can listen to some of my selections on the home page.

I have an overwhelming desire to learn new stuff. I figure even if I could live for 200 years, I still couldn't learn half the things I want to learn. Life is whatever you want it to be. For me, we're being paid to work, so we may as well have fun while at it. Not bad for a guy who used to do accounting for a living!
